My Approach
I view each session as an opportunity to work together on your healing journey.
At the beginning of every session, we will discuss your intake form so that I can assess the primary goal for our session, based on where and how your pain is manifesting. We will decide together which modality might work best for you at that moment. To maximize all the healing work we will do together, we will discuss your preferences for music and sound, lighting and room temperature.
Before we start, I will ensure that you feel comfortable with the draping process and table/shiatsu mat positioning before I leave you to undress while I wash up.
Throughout the work, I will encourage you to communicate about anything that needs to be addressed or altered during your session.
At the end of the work, I will leave again to wash up while you dress and take a moment to integrate. When I return, we will discuss the efficacy of your session and how you are feeling. I might offer homework to support healing between sessions, such as stretches, exercises, and sleep hygiene. I might suggest other specialists and practices such as PT/OT, chiropractic, acupuncture.
P.S. I will always recommend drinking more water!
